Who doesn't like a nice juicy burger off the grill? Especially one that melts and oozes cheese inside and out. Give your burger a next level nudge with this Double Stuffed Blue Cheese Burger.
Ingredients
INGREDIENTS FOR DOUBLE STUFFED BLUE CHEESE BURGERS:
2 pounds lean ground beef
7 ounces Gorgonzola Dolce blue cheese, divided
Kosher salt
Fresh-ground black pepper
6Â hamburger buns
Toppings, optional: caramelized onions, ketchup, lettuce, and the like
Preparation
Divide the meat into 6 equal portions, then divide each portion in half again. Flatten the beef portions into thin patties. Take half of the gorgonzola bluecheese and place about 1 tablespoon of gorgonzola bluecheese in the center of 6 patties. Make sure the cheese is broken into pieces and fairly flat, not mounded.
Top the blue cheese patties with another patty. Gently press allover to seal the patties together and flatten into one burger. Season both sides with salt & pepper. Or I like a bit of Cajun seasoning.
Get the grill nice and hot. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about about 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until burgers are cooked to your liking.Â
Top with bluecheese in the final minute of cooking.
Put each burger on a bun, top with carmelized onion and all fixin's.
Guess what? It's eatin time!
