The Saskatchewan Cattle Association (SCA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Boon as CEO.
Boon brings more than 40 years of experience in the cattle industry as a rancher, industry leader and executive, most recently serving as General Manager of the BC Cattlemen’s Association. Kevin has also held leadership roles with Alberta Beef Producers, the Canadian Cattle Association, the Beef Information Centre and the National Check-off Agency, among others.
“BC Cattlemen’s Association would like to thank Kevin for his years of service to the cattle industry provincially and nationally,” said Alex Kulchar, President of BCCA. “For 17 years, Kevin has strived to elevate the work BCCA can do for BC’s producers, and we would like to convey our gratitude for his dedication to the cattle industry in our province. Kevin has helped carry the message of BC cattlemen, and we appreciate his hard work and wish him all the best.”
“Kevin has spent his career working for cattle producers, and we see a real opportunity to build on the relationship and experience he brings from the BC Cattlemen’s Association,” said Chad Ross, Chair of the SCA. “Our provincial organizations face many of the same challenges, and the more we can work together across provincial and national tables, the stronger we can make the cattle industry as a whole.
SCA looks forward to welcoming Boon to his role starting November 1, 2026.
