Wade Beck owns and operates Beck Farms with his family near Milestone. Beck Farms consists of purebred Charolais and Simmental cow herds, a commercial cow herd and a grain farming operation. They host an annual bull sale at the farm on the last Wednesday in February.

He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Wade was a 4-H leader and minor hockey coach for years. He was also president of the Milestone Minor Hockey Board and local rodeo committee.

‍

He served nine years on the Saskatchewan Charolais Association, including two years as president. He is also a past president of the Canadian Charolais Association, spending seven years on the national board.

‍

Wade has served as District 2 Director on the Saskatchewan Cattle Association since 2023. For the last two years, he has served as Member-at-Large on the executive and has also served as Governance Chair for the past year.

‍

Wade’s wife, Cynthia, is a clinical psychologist and works in rural mental health. Wade and Cynthia have two grown children, Mason and Jorja.

‍

Cyle Stewart ranches in the Vermilion Hills northeast of Morse. The ranch is a commercial cow/calf endeavour. Cyle ranches with his wife, Erika, and their daughter.

‍

Industry involvement is something Cyle is very passitionate about. He has been sitting on RM Council from 2021 to present, is a founding board member of the Sask Ag Matters Mental Health Network, a director on the Canadian Ranch Roping Association and the current district 3B representative for the Saskatchewan Cattle Association.

Being strategic, transparent and accountable to industry stakeholders is what Cyle believes is essential to being a well-suited representative.

Hello, I am Rhonda Undseth. My husband and I farm and ranch alongside our son and his family in the Cabri area. We started with a 1,200-head feedlot in the 80s, and in the 90s we phased out the feedlot and got into the cow-calf side of the cattle industry.

‍

I am a director on the SWT Board of Directors and have been there for 27 years. For about 20 years, I served as the President, sat on the executive and was the chair of the policy and governance committee. I have sat on the local school board and volunteered as a 4-H leader.

‍

I have agreed to let my name stand for nomination to become a director of SCA because I feel it is important for the producer’s voice to be heard and to have input into the decisions being made moving forward.

My name is Candace Keisig. My husband, Aaron, and our four daughters farm and ranch in the RM of Tullymet. We manage 7,500 acres and 250 cows.

‍

I am the secretary/treasurer and complete all paperwork and banking related to the operation. During the winter, I substitute teach. I have a BSc in Ag and a BEd.

‍

I represent the RM as Vice-Chair/Chair of the Ituna and District Regional Park and have done so for the past 15 years. I have also been on many minor sports boards for the past 15 years.

‍

I look forward to learning and contributing to the Saskatchewan Cattle Association and serving Saskatchewan producers.

‍

My family and I have a commercial cow-calf operation at Kindersley, SK. I joined SCA in 2021 as the District 7 Director and now serve as Vice-Chair of the Board.

‍

I represent SCA on the Saskatchewan Verified Beef Production Plus board, where I hold the Vice-Chair position. I also represent Saskatchewan on the national VBP Plus Management Committee.

‍

I sit on other local recreation committees and pasture boards and, in the past, was the UFA delegate for the Kindersley area.

‍

I look forward to the opportunity to continue to bring forward the voices of west central producers.

‍

My husband and I farm and ranch 20 miles north of Shellbrook on a farm that has been in his family for over 100 years. I grew up 10 miles from here on a mixed farm.

‍

Cattle and ranching have always been a passion of mine. Just over three years ago, I learned there was an empty seat on the SCA board for this division. I offered to step up and have not looked back since. There was much more to learn than I thought, and I am still learning.

‍

I sit on the local RM council as Reeve, and I am at a stage in my life where I am retired from a full-time job with Corrections Canada. I like having the opportunity to serve on local boards for my community and on the SCA board to support the ranching passion that so many of us have.

‍

I am always looking for opportunities to grow, and SCA offers lots in the growth department, along with opportunities for connection, collaboration and communication.

‍

I have noticed that the north seems to lack connection to the SCA and what it offers, and I have been working hard to do what I can to connect local ranchers to the supports that SCA has available with regards to awareness around research opportunities, funding, grants, knowledge and the ability to ask for what we need.

‍

I hope that I will be able to keep working on these goals and, while doing that, be an asset to the producers from the north and the folks around the table.
